"Come on guys, think of a name!" After years of referring to ourselves as a "no name" art group, we realized it was kind of catchy. And so it began: the birth of (no name) Art Group. Surprisingly, this name came with more advantages than we thought. Having no name meant we had the flexibility to grow, expand, and change without worrying about a name locking us into a certain style, date, age or category. And it wasn't long until (no name)’s potential took off. As each year goes by, we find that our little "no name" continues to make a name for itself.
WHO we are...
The (no name) Art Group is simply a bunch of creative folk ; there is no age requirement, no portfolio necessary. Our size varies based on the project. Professional designers, photographers, sculptors, and painters all make up the group, but any creative and responsible person is welcome.
WHAT we do...
(no name) art projects, while based on various themes, are all collaborative, innovative group projects that allow artists to throw rules and limitations of jobs/clients out the window, to challenge their imagination, to experiment, and to enjoy the process and result of a creative group project. In recent years (no name) finds they are capable of making a difference not just for themselves but in the lives of others. (no name) initiates projects that are dedicated to raising awareness of the many important issues our world faces everyday. With each exhibition, 100% of our proceeds are donated to charity.
WHEN we do it...
Basically, whenever founder Sherry Berger's brain is sparked with an idea (usually about once a year).
WHY we do it...
(no name) strives to make a difference:
For ourselves, celebrating our freedom of creative expression and imagination
For our community, sharing our unique artistic interpretations through local exhibitions
For our world, donating 100% of exhibition proceeds to those in need, offering insight and education to those around us, and bridging the gaps of ignorance through art and understanding
HOW we do it
For the wonderful art created, we have the artists to thank. But a lot of additional work goes into our projects. There are many behind-the-scenes contributors including electricians, musicians, chocolate truffle makers, editors, galleries, supermarkets, libraries, and printers (to name a few) who help ensure the success of every event .
On behalf of (no name) artists, we thank you for your continued support and contributions.
